Amy & Roger | San Francisco Engagement Photographer

I met up with Amy and Roger to shoot their engagement session a few weeks ago. After much deliberation over possible photoshoot locations, the final destination ended up being Half Moon Bay. We started off at the Fitzgerald Marine Reserve, thinking it would be filled with wildlife and neat tide pools, but we learned once we got there that the tide pools don't appear until low tide, and we arrived at high-tide. GREAAAAT. So, we trudged around the rocks and sand and made the best of the situation. It actually turned out to be an amazing photoshoot... it was slightly overcast so there were very few shadows and the backdrop was gorgeous (cypress trees, ocean, rocks, awesomeness...) Anyway, Amy and Roger are an AWESOME couple. They are so incredibly cute together and they're fun, laid back and very open-minded for creating an interesting shot. I love seeing people in love - you can definitely see the connection with these two. At first, shooting at the beach was a little challenging since there were other people around, it was windy and chilly and there wasn't really much to work with... I felt really bad, at one point I actually had them climbing down over rocks and wild brush just so I could shoot them with this huge log (see below)... and I didn't hear a peep or complaint from either of them... so their easy-going-ness was very much appreciated and I think the photos are definitely an excellent example of it. We ended up driving to a few other places to take some shots and the mini-trip was well worth it... all locations within close proximity to each other. **If you're engaged and you can't figure out a good place to take engagement photos, consider Half Moon Bay. It is GORGEOUS and your photos will be amazing!** I'll be shooting Amy and Roger's wedding in June, and I can't wait. I'm really into shooting different cultural weddings and one component of their big day is a Chinese tea ceremony, which I think will be very interesting and beautiful... woo hoo!! ...And it's always a plus to shoot a wedding with a super nice couple. So enough of my rant, here are some shots from the session!! Amanda & George | San Francisco Engagement Photographer

I met Amanda and George up near their home in Cotati for an engagment session a few weeks back. We ended up shooting the photos at Sonoma State University. I've never been there before and I was pleasantly surprised because it has such a beautiful campus. It was the most gorgeous afternoon - and Amanda and George were really nice and great to work with. They're open-minded and easy going -- which made the session really awesome. As you can see from the following photos we had alot of fun and they did too (they are so in love!). They like riding their Harley so we definitely made it a point to add the bike into the shoot too. πŸ™‚ Amanda & George | San Francisco Engagement Photographer Amanda & George | San Francisco Engagement Photographer Amanda & George | San Francisco Engagement Photographer Amanda & George | San Francisco Engagement Photographer Amanda & George
