Foster Pet Photos – Macio the Pitbull

Macio the pitbull, a foster dog from Rocket Dog Rescue came to the studio this week for some new adoption photos. He is a big handsome fellow who is looking for his forever home. His previous owners did not have time to properly care for him because they had three small children, so he lived most of his life outside in the backyard. Macio's looking for an active new family who is willing to keep him busy and take the time to train and socialize him. Here's an excerpt about Macio written by his foster dad!

Macio (2 y/o) is a strong, intelligent, and athletic dog who is wonderful with kids. When his previous owners couldn’t afford to keep him anymore RDR stepped in to help get Macio off the streets of North Oakland and into a foster home. We know he was raised by a mother with three young children, and was an outside dog at their home. Macio is a huge cuddle bug, and minds the house rules very well. He stays off furniture and is house broken. He’s a real gentleman! Macio loves to chase balls and play fetch, or run next to a bike. He is a major “muscle dog” and and incredible athlete. His perfect forever home would be with someone who has a yard where he can hang during the day. While he is calm at home, and can chill very well, he’s an athletic dog and needs to use his muscles! As his new owner, you should be dog confident and know the Pitt Bull breed. Macio wasn’t well socialized with other dogs as a puppy, so he needs a helping hand to stay focused and keep his calm submissive attitude. He’s ready to learn, and is food motivated which makes training a ton easier. If you are an active person looking for a companion on the trails, on the road, and on the couch, please consider this amazing boy.
