Pet Portraits in the SF Bay Area
On Location
Kira Stackhouse is known for creating colorful, crisp and “aww”-inspiring images of pets, often gracing the backdrop of iconic San Francisco landmarks. We frequent some of the Bay Area’s most beautiful places such as the Golden Gate Bridge, Alamo Square/Postcard Row, The Ferry Building, Golden Gate Park, Baker Beach, and more. We are also available to photograph your pet in the comfort of your own home or backyard.
Studio
We offer modern studio portraits of your pets against a variety of fun, solid colored backdrops. If your pet is not able to travel, we are happy to come to you with our gear!
All pets are welcome, including dogs, cats, reptiles, hamsters/rats, rabbits, ferrets, birds, horses … even fish!

People Portraits in the SF Bay Area
We also love photographing people all over the San Francisco Bay Area, and our love for photography shines in our portraits of families, babies and children. We also offer commercial headshots for executives, actors, and editorial purposes (see below).
Photo Sessions & Collections:
- Standard Portrait Session – regular ‘ol photo sessions!
- Rainbow Session – for terminally ill or pets in hospice
- Newborn and Baby Session – newborns and babies under 3 years
- Puppy’s First Year – (4) photo sessions over the course of your puppy’s first year (up to 14 wks, 6 mos, 9 mos, 1 year)
- Baby’s First Year – (5) photo sessions over the course of your baby’s first year (newborn, 3 mos, 6 mos, 9 mos, 1 year)
Outside the Bay Area?
Do you live outside of the San Francisco Bay Area? If so, that’s ok! We will travel anywhere in the US if we can reach a minimum booking number per region, then we will plan a series of photo sessions in your area. Please email me with your name and city if you would like to be put on the list, and we will send you details as soon as they become available.

A Nuena Photography gift certificate is the perfect present for all dog lovers; suitable for all occasions – holidays, birthdays, engagements, weddings, Mothers and Fathers Day … or simply ‘just because’. Gift certificates are start from $250 and additional credit is available in increments of $25.
Commercial + Editorial Photography
We offer competitive rates to commercial clients throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. Our commercial and editorial assignment work has been seen in books and magazines nationwide, and we are available to shoot independently or alongside a creative team.
We offer work in fashion, food, pets, and small tabletop. We also offer professional headshots for executives, actors, and editorial purposes (both studio and on-location).
Commercial and editorial sessions are available by day and half day rates, please contact us with details about your project for a proposal.
