PAWS Petchitecture 2011
Last weekend I had the privilege of shooting (for the 3rd year in a row), the PAWS Petchitecture event at the Palace Hotel in downtown San Francisco. This is one of my favorite events in San Francisco, it's so amazing.... 800 people and a couple hundred dogs in the same place, how can you go wrong? It's so cool because everyone is dressed up (including the dogs), there is great food, a HUGE silent auction and a very exciting live auction featuring celebrities and one of a kind pet habitats! Petchitecture works with some of the top architects and designers in San Francisco to create unique one of a kind pet habitats which are on display and up for auction at this event.
If you're not familiar with PAWS, here is their mission statement from their website:
Pets Are Wonderful Support (PAWS) is a volunteer-based organization that provides for the comprehensive needs of companion animals for low-income persons with disabling HIV/AIDS, other disabling illnesses and senior citizens. By providing these essential support services, educating the larger community on the benefits of the human-animal bond, and advocating for the rights of disabled individuals to keep service animals, PAWS improves the health and well-being of disabled individuals and the animals in their lives.I love working with this organization for such a wonderful cause. If you're in San Francisco and haven't attended this event yet, it's definitely something to keep in mind for next year! 🙂 If you're looking for the entire album of event photos to view and purchase, CLICK HERE (you will be redirected to PAWS site) If you want to browse some more dog guests, I put together an album on Facebook! click here [above] One of the event sponsors, Rosenblum Cellars.
