The Firestation
A few weeks ago I had an interesting request to take some photos at various fire stations in San Francisco. My client's boyfriend is an ex-firefighter and as a nice birthday presented, wanted to give him some nice, framed artistic firestation photos. Cool! So we drove between a few stations, and ended up at the #11 Noe Valley station. It was interesting. Apparently just a few hours prior, there had been a National Security Alert sent out to all of the firehouses, so in order to take the photos we had to fork over our ID's! Nonetheless, the chief firefighter let us enter the station, and take photos galore of the garage, trucks, hoses, boots, etc... He even let me climb on top of the firetruck into the drivers seat that steers the back of the truck so that I could get some good shots of the latter from above. Lucky me!
