Archana & Douglas | San Francisco Wedding Photographer
Archana & Douglas' wedding was my last and one of my most highly-anticipated weddings of 2007. I had put myself out on a limb in the early fall by posting an ad on craigslist saying that I wanted to shoot an Indian Wedding. I didn't expect many responses but somehow I got a few and Archana's wedding is the one that stuck. Woo hoo! I've always wanted to shoot an Indian wedding -- from what I've heard and seen in photos, they are so colorful and the ceremony is so different than the traditional ceremony most people are used to -- and I wanted to gain the experience of shooting something different.
I spent almost a week shooting with everyone -- from the beautiful henna ceremony to the City Hall ceremony, to the fancy Carnelian Room dinner... and lastly the big wedding day celebration!
It was so wonderful to be in the company of two fantastic families and people from all around the country and world -- and after spending 4 days with all of these people and seeing how much they love each other, I must admit that the wedding made me get a little choked up myself. 🙂 Believe me, I'd love to show you ALL of the photos but since there are over 1,000, I cannot. ...But I can leave you with this nice little table of Indian wedding wedding goodness.... click on the thumbnails to view full size!
