GGBA Small Biz Expo *RECAP*
As I mentioned two weeks ago, I participated in the GGBA Small Business Expo. It was the first expo of its kind to offer an lgbt wedding pavilion -- and believe it or not, I was the ONLY photographer hosting a table... Represent!
Here's a photo of my table. My apologies for the sub par quality photo (I brightened it as much as I could!) -- the lighting in this room was tricky.. think old musky 50's living room meets hotel banquet hall. I actually didn't have my flash on me which would've easily solved the problem... oh well!
Anyhow, as you can see, I brought my own tablecloth, candy dish (filled with Scharffen Berger chocolate squares, yum!), an paper organizer, a few piles of matted photos, newsletter signup sheet, framed "environmental commitment" statement, a 2x3' custom Nuena Photo sign, and a GORGEOUS colorful floral arrangement (generously donated by Rossi & Rovetti Flowers the arrangement was actually red, orange, green and blue (see photo to the left, slightly better).
All in all the expo was GREAT. I got interviewd by tv, radio and other people, met a ton of great people and it was a really awesome experience! If you watch the recap video on the GGBA website, pay close attention and you'll see my big head and a few of my photos! 🙂
Something really memorable about being at the expo was receiving one of thes nicest compliments ever... a man said that when he looks at the photos, he can really tell that I love what I do, and that it makes all the difference in the world. It made me feel so great... I really, really love being a photographer! Thank you!
