Happy 13th Birthday Ponette!

Today we celebrated Ponette's 13th birthday! I worked on assignment today so I was counting down the hours until I could get home to my girl and have her birthday party. After work I stopped at the store to get 1lb of her favorite treat, Boar's Head Turkey (chipped), and some birthday candles. When I picked up the 1 and the 3 I seriously started getting so emotional in the store I almost had a breakdown just thinking about how old she is... She needed a cute outfit for her birthday photo, so I stopped at Baby Gap to look at dresses, and lied to the Gap lady who asked how old the baby was I was shopping for... lol. Then off to Michael's to buy stuff to make her birthday hat. Oh, and I stopped at the pet store to get her some catnip toys and some "catnip candy" aka bonito flakes. When I got home I made her hat, set up the lights and backdrop, and put Poe in her dress. Woo hoo! We made her turkey cake, surrounded it with temptations cat treats, and lit the candles. Poe ate all of the treats around the cake and just a little bit of turkey. She was really annoyed with her birthday hat by this point (below). We put the other fur kids upstairs so that Ponette could have some peace and quiet for a bit on her birthday... she ate some more treats and turkey, rolled around on the floor and played with her new catnip toy until she passed out! ...Success!
