Roadtrip: VW Camper Skyskape

Hello! I'm away on a year-long anticipated roadtrip, visiting California's National Parks until Sept 20th. We started our journey last week and are having a blast so far. Here's a shot I took last night from our stay in Sequoia National Park (Lodgepole Camp), of our VW Camper van under the stars. Being in the city for so long now you forget how many stars there are in the sky... I don't think I've seen this many stars in YEARS. I stayed up late until it was pitch black out to get this shot, laying in the street and hoping bears wouldn't come out of the forest and find me. It was a very challenging shot, especially since the campers directly behind me arrived late and started their campfire late, had lanterns on and were waving flashlights around. Everytime I tried to take a shot (with a very long exposure) a stray light would appear. Finally I decided to work with their campfire and random lights and use it to my advantage. ...Et voila!
