SF SPCA Bark and Whine Ball 2010
Oh my DOG was this freaking event awesome.... The San Francisco SPCA throws the Bark and Whine Ball as their big annual fundraiser. I am so lucky and forever grateful that I got to shoot this event - it's one of the pet events that I've been striving to attend/photograph for the past few years! The event literally flew by - I spent alot of time on the red carpet in the beginning, capturing the dogs and guests as they arrived and then I floated around inside... and before I knew it, the event was over. I looked at the clock and it was 9:30... so sad, I was just getting into it!
This year, the Bark & Whine Ball was at the Herbst Pavilion at Fort Mason in San Francisco. I had never been there for an event before so I was really excited to check it out. It's HUGE inside! When you walked in there was a big long red carpet and then the space opened up into an area with tables, food stations, stage for the band and the silent auction.
There was even a grass patch outside...
I got there early so that I would have time to take shots of the details and location before the guests arrived. I was immediately drawn to the food (duh), there were tables of food everywhere!! The food situation was out of control.. NOM NOM NOM...!! ....Unfortunately, the sad part is that I didn't get a chance to eat any of it, too busy shooting! 🙁 Below are pics of some of the food - there was way more (and an ice cream sundae bar!)
Human and dog guests started arriving and making their way down the red carpet. Everyone was dressed to the nines... Check out some of my favorite red carpet dogs!
Next are some shots of dogs enjoying the event!
...Life is good for Miss Mille!

Wow, congratulations this is so impressive! Great shots of dogs too.
This is AWESOME!! Looks like a ton of fun and it made me very hungry too. Beautiful photos, as usual!
what fun! and to have that wonderful red background color really makes the images POP. can’t believe you didn’t sneak a slice of that mouth watering tiramisu. how long were those?
🙂
thanks!! 🙂
@steve, the tiramisu was very long, i’d say at least 2ft each! i seriously wish there was more time so i could taste test all the food…
Great, now I’m hungry.
Fab pics. 🙂
