Stella the Pitbull

I met Stella a couple weeks ago at her home in Oakland for some portraits.  Stella is a very special girl.  She was rescued by her now mom from a terrible drug bust/oberbreeding situation about a year and a half ago from Detroit.  Now Stella is living a normal happy life in Oakland and she is doing very well.   Because of her past she is weary of people (men in general) so I had to basically ignore her for the first 15 minutes or so but then she warmed right up to me and I got lots of wet slobbery kisses. Stella was a fantastic model for the photoshoot, extremely patient and well behaved!  I brought a squeaky ball with me that she really liked and it was hilarious to watch her zoom around the living room after it.  She literally zoomed around like a manic - it was so funny! Her face has so much expression - it was so hard for me to choose which photos to post because they were all so different and so her.  ...I gotta say that here's something about dog lips that totally win me over. Just lovely! The tones on the black and white are so pretty. And there’s no better way to display a pittie than on a couch. A perfect combo.
