Dear Ellen: Fire Works!

Dear Ellen, Not much to report this week.  It was 4th of July weekend.  I spent Saturday preparing for Sunday mostly.  Then Sun morning I was on my deathbed with a horrible stomach pain, nausea, chills, ughh it was terrible.  Then finally my friends came over and we had a fun time.   My building has a rooftop deck with a SF skyline view so we went up there to grill and hang out.  Couldn't see too many fireworks because of the fog but it was ok. Last Fri I had a Project DOG photoshoot with Munch the rescue Pembroke Welsh Corgi.  He is a cute little guy and he totally was sporting a Scutte necktie for his photoshoot! I'm excited though - I'm going to Chicago in October to a pet expo to help sell Scutte stuff, and when I'm out there I'm planning on shooting a bunch of dogs for Project DOG!!! Wooooot! Last week my chef friend had a "women's business" get together at her house and I ended up meeting this one woman who is also working on a book.  It's rare that I meet other super super ambitious people - people who are actually doing something instead of just talking about it.  Anyway, her book sounds really cool, it's all about tattooed chefs, and she's featuring all of our favorite chefs like Anthony Bourdain.  I'm excited because now I have someone to help guide me along with Project DOG... it doesn't seem so overwhelming anymore! I saw a commercial on tv yesterday by Toyota about a girl who started a pastry company and saved her money to buy a Toyota Corolla.  Have you seen that commercial?  Well hott damn I wish Mazda would give me a car for all my hard work.  My dream car is a Mazda 3speed hatchback (black).  I don't have a car, and if I could have any car, I just want the Mazda 3!!!  I rent the Mazda 3 Zipcar every time I need to drive... it's my favorite.  I've been using Zipcar now for the past 3 years because I am car-less.  But renting all the time is expensive, and sometimes I spend about $280 just to rent a car for 1 weekend, it's so expensive... even more if i need it longer.   🙁  I spend all of my money on renting cars, it's sad.  Anyway, I wish Mazda would give away free cars to deserving people.  They did a promotion on Facebook with Bejeweled Blitz... and I ended up playing for weeks on end so that I would be entered to win the free car, but I didn't get it. 🙁  I am however, #1 Bejeweled Blitz Player within my Bejeweled friendship circle... Ugh well I hope you had a great 4th of July!
