Mi ACLU Estamos Unidos: Day 5, City 7 – El Paso, TX

After our brief visit to Las Cruces, NM, we began our journey to San Antonio, TX... first stopping in El Paso, TX for a mini tabling event at a local park.  I never realized how close El Paso was to the Mexican border - you could literally SEE Mexico from the highway, and there was a black chain-link fence running along the US/Mexico Border. The photo below was taken just before we reached El Paso - the area behind the red tower - the homes, and buildings - are all IN MEXICO. That is Mexico... COOL! Ugh! ...I was totally kickin myself for that one.
